Gel tips are a unique product for express extensions!
Initially, professionals used plastic tips, which had a number of disadvantages - they did not adhere well, could damage the nail plate when accidentally torn off together with the upper layers of the nail, and, in general, did not last long enough, and were also inconvenient for many.
Then a new era appeared - extensions on reusable upper forms. This technique has really become popular with many professionals, as it has a lot of advantages, but the nail industry does not stand still, and today a new extension technology appears - with the help of gel tips!
They are made of an improved flexible material, thanks to which it becomes even more comfortable to work, and creating perfect nails is faster and more convenient.
Advantages of gel tips:
- Speed - extension will take much less time compared to classic modeling methods;
- Precision - the ability to accurately position and fix the tips;
- Tight fit of the tip to the natural nail plate guarantees good wear;
- The tips are elastic in the cuticle area, which allows you to avoid creating a step and extra volume; and durable in the free edge area, due to which the extension will be fixed;
- After a period of wear, gel tips do not need to be removed completely, but can be corrected;
- Easily removed by soaking, since the tips dissolve easily;
- Safe for natural nails if used correctly - do not deform or injure the NP, do not bend, do not break;
- Universal - suitable for all types of nails, even complex ones;
- Gel tips are easy to use and suitable for beginners;
- The tips come in a variety of sizes, which allows you to choose the right one for any type of nail plate.
Gel tip extension technology:
1. Perform a standard manicure procedure.
2. Buff the natural nail plate, degrease with a lint-free cloth, apply nail prep (dehydrator) and primer.
3. Select a tip to match the size of the nail.
4. Buff the tip from the inside (with a buff or cutter).
5. Remove excess dust with a brush (If you actively wipe with a large amount of degreaser, the tip may become cloudy. If you need transparency of the tip for a specific design, then it is better not to wipe the surface at all)
6. Apply the plastic base for gel tips to the base of the tip, creating a small drop (There should not be too much material, so that the excess does not flow out; and there should not be too little, since the tip should be in contact with the entire surface of the nail plate)
7. Stepping back about 2 mm from the cuticle, apply the base of the tip with the material to the lunula area at an angle of 45 degrees. Gently press the tip towards the free edge.
8. Continuing to hold the gel tip, dry it in the lamp for about 10 seconds to fix it in the desired position. Then, stop holding, dry it for about 20 seconds.
9. Remove excess material with a carbide/ceramic cutter or file, file.
10. Level with a base/gel/liquid combigel, dry.
11. Then proceed to further coating: cover with gel polish, top, design.
!Feature of use: gel tips must be applied to a 'bare nail'. If there was any coating on the nails before extension with gel tips, it must be completely removed. Otherwise, this may lead to the appearance of voids, and then to peeling.
